Re: Non-Magical Resources
I know this is regional, and may not be helpful to many, but I thought I would share it anyway. Where I live we have a store called the Dollar Tree, everything in the store costs only one dollar. In the store they have a section that is filled with aftermarket cell phone cases, and mp3 player cases. I found a leather case with belt clip that is designed to hold a Blackberry. This case is the perfect size to hold a pack of Bicycle playing cards. Instead of cramming a pack of cards in your pocket you can carry a pack on your belt if you so desire. There is no brand name on the packaging it just says: genuine leather case for use with most Blackberrys & PDAs. I know that alot of you on this site always carry a pack of cards with you so I thought I'd tell you about this. I hope that someone finds it helpful. :D

Re: Non-Magical Resources
Much agreeded with many of the posts. I suggest any arts and crafts store, home improvement store, yard sales and flea markets especially. Remember, one man's trash is another's treasure. I have found amazing glass ware and goblets and other prop like stuff at my local flea market. Usually there are also cheap foriegn coins which are usually PK reactive. I have found an entire pile of chinese coins from different eras. All of which are larger than a US dollar coin, and all of which react to a PK ring. Fabric stores also have black velvet which is clearly a necessity if you are handy enough to build your own props, as well as other fabrics that can be used to create curtains or unique wardrobes. The arts and crafts stores have eveything from adhesives to monofiliment line to fake flowers to pom pom balls to paint to just about anything else one might need. Also office stores offer rubber bands, paper clips, pulls, and a particular item which is completely necessary for a certain effect by Andrew Mayne. Just spend some time strolling the aisles of any of these places and think creatively. Chances are, you will find heaps of useful things that will benefit your magic.

For all of you Eugene Burger fans, I just came across this site that sells miniature oriental rugs like the one Eugene uses for a close up mat. http://www.orientalcarpetcreations.com/carpets.html
