"Quotations" and 'Apostrophes'?
Hi, ed,
This is a sort of minor issue regarding the trick submissions. You can't type out a quotation mark ( " ). When you try, it always comes out as an apostrophe ( ' ). But you can type out apostrophes just fine.
However, this gets rather annoying when trying to type out patter that it based on a story. Here's a little excerpt from the script of one of my next tricks:
As you can see, it needs both quotation marks and apostrophes for it to make sense. Quotation marks indicate what the speaker is saying, while the apostrophes indicate lines from another person that the speaker is reciting from. It will get quite confusing as the reader can't easily tell the difference between who's saying what!
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks,

"I had this one teacher, he was a pretty cool guy. He was nice, and explained things very well. He would tell us when we did something well, and he'd also let us know if there was more that could be done. One day, he told us this, 'it's good that all of you are able to get the big picture in things,' he says to us, 'but the problem is that you guys tend to miss out on the smaller details.' I'll do my best to replicate this one day in class. "

Actually, I never thought of that.
Wow... it does work out. I always thought that it would just come out looking like ( ' ' ), but no, it does work.

Sounds like a simple formatting issue, maybe a " breaks the code?
