The aces change places!
Changing Aces
Method
Take 4 aces out of a deck and your ready to do the trick.
- Show the aces to the spectators in this order - AS, AD, AH, AC then place them on top of the deck.
- Do a double lift to actually show the 2nd card the ace of diamonds then place back on deck and place on table (but you actually put the ace of spades down.)
- Now count the 3 aces left face down so that you put the last black ace on top and other red ace 2nd from top.
- Do the same procedure as above and again actually place the other black ace on the table.
- Say "now we have 2 red aces on the table and 2 black on the deck", then make a wave and reveal that the aces have switched places.

| monkey301 18th May 06 | I find this works better using two different pairs eg queens and kings. still a great trick though | |
| blacktiger 3rd Jun 06 | I use the Kings and queens as well. For the simple fact so you can tell a story. | |
| mrjordanxthin 15th Jul 06 | cool trick.. i practticed and got it right.. but when i did it in front of my friends i accidently triple lifed without me or them noticing.. and it all just went downhill form there..... | |
| Dana 21st Aug 06 | this trick is the best ppl were scratching there heads over it i even fooled myself for a sec!!! | |
| monkeymagicdude2007 26th Aug 06 | this is a classic trick it took a few goes to get familiar with the trick | |
| spartan580 19th Sep 06 | it doesn't make sense, so they no the order, and when u just show the ace of diamonds as the first one or top, they're gonna know the first one is behind it. | |
| chillin420 20th Sep 06 | spartan its a matter of doing all movements quick and smoothly when you flash them the four aces at the beginning of the trick, the spectators are more concerned with seeing the effect of the trick than, really paying attention to the order of the aces. repeating the trick a second time (which should never be done) puts you at much higher risk of them noticing the order as they will be paying attention to every detail the second time around | |
| magic944 18th Nov 06 | This is a very effective trick, but it's from the Mark Wilson course of magic, as davidcummings has pointed out. | |
| Yexo 14th Feb 07 | i saw this guy do something similar to this one time. I like it alot. This is pretty cool. | |
| schibs1223 23rd Mar 07 | In this trick i think that it would be better to add either the kings and jacks or the aces and jacks, so u can tell a story. it spices up the trick and makes people pay more atention | |
| psychicace 13th Apr 07 | double lift strikes agian lol i love this trick i learnt it today havnt shown anyone yet but will do soon and i like all sorts of card tricks but ace tricks are good bafflers great trick 9/10 well explained. | |
| supermuncher 17th Apr 07 | a very clever piece of magic that i performed on my boss from work.. who was very impressed but not enough for a pay rise!! | |
| Jordan90 12th May 07 | dont get it. | |
| Far 14th May 07 | cool trick. | |
| Jungy 17th May 07 | I enjoyed doing this a lot =] Does it really matter what order they're in as long as theres a black ace, the two red ones, then the other red one? (As long as the audience remembers?) | |
| oddbit 26th May 07 | It does not matter the order, so long as it is one, two, one. It could be the red cards on the outside. Does anybody want to relate one of the stories you tell of Kings and Queens and Knaves?? And I love hearing stories of how you did the tricks to rave reviews. | |
| phantasam 31st Mar 08 | I love this trick. I actually use Jacks when I do this trick and accompany it with this story: "There was once a grand kingdom in a land far far away, and in this kingdom there lived (counting off the jacks) one, two, three, four princes...actually they were quadruplets! However sad times had befallen the kingdom and the princes' parents had divorced. (at this point start actually performing the trick) two of the princes went to live with the queen, and two of them went to live with the king. | |
| darkrunning 28th Jul 08 | i practised thise trick serveral of times but i dont really get what they mean by sttep 3 can someone explain me that | |
| Kolton 23rd May 09 | This trick has the same effect as 'Daley's Last Card Trick'. | |
