You place a coin on your spectator's palm, and tell them that you're going to be able to snatch it away from them before they're be able to close their fist. You quickly reach for the coin while the spectator closes their fist, still feeling the coin in their grasp.
Just then, the magician shows that he has indeed snatched the coin away from the spectator, switching it for an entirely different coin in their hand!
