The magician displays two plates to the audience. He/She shows the plates on both sides and replaces them, stacked on the table. Then the magician displays a silk hankerchief, which he causes to vanish. The magician then picks up the top plate of the stack to reveal that the silk hankerchief has mysteriously flown between the plates.
