Four Kind Kings

Four kings are placed at different points in the deck, but when the magician cuts the cards, they all re-group.

Method

  1. Take the four Kings out of the deck, and also two other cards.
  2. Fan the four Kings out, and place the two other cards you selected behind the second King. Line them up so your audience cannot see the two other cards.
  3. Show the Kings to the spectators.
  4. Place the Kings (and the two secret cards) face down on the top of the deck.

  5. Tell the audience that the four Kings are good friends, and they don't let anything get between them.
  6. Place the top King on the bottom of the deck. You may show the audience this card.

  7. Place the next card (not a King) into the centre of the deck.
  8. Repeat step the previous step.
  9. Leave the fourth card on the top. You may show the audience that it is a King.
  10. Explain that the Kings are real good friends and will soon be back together.
  11. Cut the deck in the middle, and put the bottom half on the top.
  12. Search the deck for the four Kings. They have been magically moved next to each other.

4th Jun 06		I use the kings as the robbers in my Ghost deck. Try to get the ghost deck and the ghost gaff deck. the gaff deck has for dead kings in it.you can tell people that they came back from the grave.

31st Aug 06		ya but when you put the bottom half on top and dont shuffle any more, it will be suspicious.and you should lay the king that is left after you place the two other cards in middle of deck. lay that king face up on table, then do a triple cut from the deck so they dont think thers more kings. then put the one on table back and then do the cut

9th Oct 06		if people can guess this trick you should pratice your sleight of hand more, becuase I use the four jack robber trick and no one nows how to do it.

2nd Dec 06		i do the robbers one too i use 3 kings as robbers and the ace of spades as a cop and the trick is for the cop to "catch" the robbers meaning they are all together

21st May 07		I use the cop and robbers one with the 4 kings and 3 cards behind them on top of the kings, whth the ace of spades as the cop. Then place the 3 random cards in the deck somewhere then snap and all 4 kings are on the roof withe the ace of spades right behind them. I use two aces of spades though.

25th May 07		I used the same trick recently, but instead of 4 kings i did the three amigos (Aces) Same deal except I put one ace on top without the audience knowing and there were no other cards.. worked the same though.

25th Jun 07		I have an alternative, less detectable way to do this trick. Get two identical decks. Then have the four Kings and 3 Kings from another deck on top. Then you put the duplicate Kings in the deck. You can show them all the kings this way. You can then do a false triple cut or a fake keeping top cards in order shuffle.

15th May 08		This is a variation of a trick called "cops and robbers. Jacks were robbers and kings were cops. same method except the cops catch the robbers on the roof (top of deck)
