Jumping Joker

The magician shows ten cards, 9 normal ones and 1 joker on top. He places the joker as card number two, but the card on top is still the joker. He places it as card number two once again, but it is still on top. Now he places the joker on the bottom of the deck, but the joker is still on top. He puts it in the middle of the deck, but now it is on the bottom. The deck is shown again, containing 10 cards, 9 normal ones and a joker on the bottom.
