This is an improved (in my opinion) and simplified form of Charlie Miller's Dunbury Delusion, and gets much better reactions. This gives a classy card revelation!
Method:
1. Have any card selected and shown around while you avert your eyes.
2. Spread through to about the middle and have it returned. When it is replaced, add one card on top of that and get a pinkie break over those two cards.
3. Pick up at the break and hold the top portion in Biddle grip, and riffle off the bottom two cards getting a break over those.
4. Remember, the selection is 2nd from the top of the lower section. Use the upper packet to flip over the top card of the lower section and show it. Next, flip it down again and drop it on the table - nothing fishy yet.
5. Now the selection should be on top of the lower section. Flip it over and show it. As you turn it down, do the drop switch, which means you add on your two broken cards on the back of the selection as it turns down onto the lower packet. The name of that technique, the "drop switch" implies that you would drop them onto the selection from a distance, but it's much better to go ahead and let the packets "kiss" together so as to not allow any chance of a flash.
6. Since you added on two cards, the selection should now be 3 down in the lower packet. Thumb off the top card of the lower packet which they believe is still their selection.
7. Flip over the next top card as before, and flip it down so you can thumb it onto the table.
8. Now put the lower portion on top of the upper portion. The selection should now be on top of the deck. Do a double lift of the top two and show the card. Turn it down, pause for dramatic effect, and Bam! Their card is staring at them in the face.
PATTER:
1. "Over the years, so many people have tried to mess me up that it's been taken much further than normal. For example, when someone says 'That's my card' or 'That's not my card' I can now almost always tell if somebody is lying to me. Here, why don't you pick a card and I'll show everyone what I mean."
2. "Now that your card is lost in the deck, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to show you several cards. Every time I show you a card, you say 'That's It', and I'll tell you when you're telling the truth, Okay? Even if it's not your card you say 'That's it'. [pause a little to let all this register]
3. [turn the first one over] Spectator says 'That's It'.
4. [turn the second one over] Spectator says 'That's It'.
5. [turn the third one over] Spectator says 'That's It'.
6. [replace lower packet on top, do double lift] "I think this card is definitely going to be your card (something along those lines) Spectator says 'That's It'.
7. Replace double back on the deck, and take it off face-down (really the selection) saying 'I believe her. That's it.'
8. When the spectators look hesitant, say 'Well, what was your card?'
9. When the spectator names it, turn it over and say 'That's it.'
This is a fabulous routine, gets incredible reactions from everyone and I would highly recommend it to all card w
