The magician hands the spectator three coins, and keeps three for him/her self. The magician then tells the spectator to place three of the coins in a box, followed by the magician's three coins. The box is then closed. The magician now hands the spectator a marker and asks the him/her to write a six on the box, to represent six coins. Then, the box is turned around, and the six on the box has turned to a nine. The box is then opened, to show that by rotating the box, 3 bonus coins were produced.
