The magician takes a deck of cards from his pocket, and addresses a lovely female spectator. He looks through it, and says, 'Want to play a game of Poker?' He squares up the deck, and shuffles it. The spectator can say, 'Stop shuffling!' at any time.
The magician deals cards to the spectator and to himself until both players have five cards. The spectator looks pleased. She has a Full House, but the magician doesn't know that.
The magician asks, 'Are you certain you're going to win? Don't you think I might have done something with the cards, to get perhaps a Straight or something? You know what... In order to prove there was no set-up, I'll take whatever five cards you want.' The magician loses his five cards back in the deck with a few quick shuffles. The magician asks the spectator to pick 5 cards for him. She does so, and the cards are placed on the table.
He (the magician) asks, 'You think you can win? Show me your cards.' The spectator shows a Full House. The magician remarks with utter surprise, 'That's a pretty good hand! How did you do that..? Are you cheating??? You are cheating! In that case, I can cheat too!'
The magician places his five cards next to the deck. He says that he is a professional gambler - he can locate any card he wants. He takes the deck and quickly riffles through it, and when he places it down on the table again he says: 'I just saw an excellent Poker Hand!' He waves his hands over the cards and the deck, and when he thinks the magic has happened, he reveals his cards: a Royal Flush!
