Perfect Match

Effect

The magician approaches the spectators and gives them a deck to freely inspect, shuffle and finally cut into four piles. Once they're done, the magician removes a small, sealed envelope from their pocket and asks them to choose one of the piles. The magician then places the envelope on top of their chosen pile. The magician then proceeds to talk about how each and every card has another counterpart in the deck of the same color and value, called a match card; an example being the ace of spades and the ace of clubs. The magician tells the spectator to look at the card beneath the envelope, asking them what the match card would be. And sure enough, the card inside the sealed envelope turns out to be its perfect match!
