Double Lift Force and Control

Effect

The spectators picks any card from a spread, absolute free choice. But, you have really forced that card on the spectator.

Sleights

• Force

Preparation

Have the card you wish to force on the spectator on top of the deck. E.g. the 4D.

Method

1. Spread out the cards face down and have them lay their finger on one of the cards.

2. Pull out that card (without showing the face of that card) and place it on top, on top of the 4D.

3. Execute a double lift, showing the 4D. You have just forced the 4D on the spectator.

4. After you forced the 4D on them, turn the double over. Then, take the top card and put it in the middle of the deck, making them believe their card is truly lost in the deck. Actually, it is on top of the deck the entire time. This control comes in handy for a lot of tricks.
