Revelation Hack

Effect

This is not a trick: this is a script! Below, you will find the link and the password for a webpage (coded by me) which you may use to reveal anything (a card, a sentence, anything) in a very 'high-tech/creepy' way! You can reveal something else every time: it's not like a Svengali Deck!

No scripting knowledge needed. Of course, you need to perform this effect behind a computer.

Sleights

Preparation

Open the page, here is the link:

LINK: http://www.uploading.nl/index.php?file=RevelationHack.html

It's a Dutch site, but it speaks for itself. Just wait ten second, then a button should appear. Click it, and OPEN or DOWNLOAD the file. That's it.

You also have to come up with something you can force on them.

Method

THE PROMPTS

When you open the page, you will see two prompts. The first one will ask you for the prediction: type in whatever you want to reveal. It can be a card, a number, a colour. You can type in anything you can force on somebody!

The second one asks for the secret word. Your spectator has to type in this word to activate the prediction-script. This secret word can be anything (letters only) you want: I implemented this option so that you can change the secret word into whatever you want, ensuring it can be used in any kind of routine.

HOW TO USE THE PAGE

Before your find a spectator, you type in the prediction and the secret word. Once you typed in both words, you can leave the page for as long as you want. So this page can be prepared hours before you start performing! Of course, your spectator is not supposed to see you type in the prediction and the secret word! Force the thing you want them to pick on your spectator, and let them read the page. Let them look into the eyes, and ask them to type in the secret word. There is nothing else for you to do!

PATTER:

This trick can be used in every routine! Routines based around technique, mentalism routines: everything is possible! Just pick a nice prediction and secret word, and it'll fit into every routine! However, I wouldn't perform this in front of children, they might get scared of the eyes.

ERROR?

If the script doesn't work for you, try to activate or de-block JavaScript. If that doesn't work, you have to do the following:

Go to the page, and press the right-mouse button. Click the 'View Source/View Source Code' option. A file should appear (WordPad, or something like that), save it as 'a nice name.html' (The .html part is required!) Go to 'My Documents' and open the file. It should work now.
