Seen Prediction

Effect

A magician asks a spectator to open a new sealed deck of cards, remove the advertisements and shuffle them. The magician then asks the spectator several personal questions and says that from these questions, he will able to build up a picture of your chanced choice. He explains that nothing is random, it always has several possibilities. Thinking of a whole number between 1 and 10, although seemingly random, it can only be 1,2,3,4 up to 10. The same is true with taking photos, there has to be something in the image, even if it is just blue sky. And naturally, simply selecting cards in a deck. It has to be one of the 52 cards in a deck. It has to be one of the 4 suits, and can be categorized as red or black.

At this point, the magician writes a prediction in an envelope and does not touch it again. He then tells the spectator what he proposes to do: She will have to pick 2 cards at a time, placing them in 3 piles depending on their colour. If both cards are red, they are put in the far left pile. If they are both black, they are put in a pile next to the first. If they happen to be one of each, both cards are placed into a 3rd pile. Before they begin, the magician asks the spectator one more question, will Red or Black fill the gap? She answers. For example 'Red'. Then they begin the test, with the spectator putting the cards in the 3 piles. The magician does not touch the deck.

When all the cards have been exhausted into the piles, the magician says that red negates black. And black negates red. So seeming, the pile with an equal amount of reds and blacks, the 3rd pile, has no strength, these are discarded. The spectator is then asked to count the amount of black cards remaining and the number of red cards remaining. Incredibly, the colour she picked at the start outweighs the other. So in the example, there are more red cards then black. Then the magician reveals what he wrote: _____ will outweigh the other colour by 4. The statement : will Red or Black fill the gap is fullfilled and that word is written in the gap. Incredibly, it is true - they are 4 more Red cards than Black.

A very clever mentalism effect which can be done with a sealed, borrowed deck. And the magician and spectator are always right.

This is a double prediction of a different kind. One, prediction with an equal chance is correct from the spectator but an almost impossible chanced prediction is correct from the magician. The Seen Prediction.
