Burnt Initial in Book

Effect

This is the same sort of trick David Blaine performed on his TV special Frozen Time. I am positive this is not how he does it but it's a start. A magician borrows a spectators book and asks them to tell the magician the name of someone important to them. The magician explains that he will just use the initial of their first name. The specatator is then asked how old they are, if they happen to be 30 years old the magician turns to page 30. The magician then decides to take out a lighter and light the page on fire. The burnt part of the page spells out the chosen initial.
