Magician shows spectator a card on his right hand. Magician then puts his left hand under his right. Card slowly starts to levitate up to an inch and 1/2 above right palm. Magician then takes his left hand out from under his right hand to leave the card still levitating. Card slowly floats back down.
Find a thin marker cap and put adhesive on one end of the cap.
Have the marker cap in between your middle and ring finger of your right hand. Do not draw attention to your right hand until the card is on your palm and hiding the cap from view. Once the card is in your right palm, make sure it is stuck to the cap in between your fingers. then simply place your left hand under your right and slowly push the cap up, creating the illusion that the card is rising about an inch and 1/2 above your right hand. Then move your left hand from under your right and squeeze your fingers on your right hand together so that the marker is still keeping the card suspended above your hand. Then, when your want to make the card float back down, simply loosen the squeeze on the marker cap and it will easily float back down onto your hand.
