Card Under Glass

Effect

A chosen card is caused to magically change places with an indifferent card isolated under a glass.

Sleights

• Card Controlling

Method

Have a glass on the table, to your side and spread a deck for a selection. Hold a finger break above the card as it is replaced into the center of the deck.

Double-cut the cards below the break to the top af the deck. You have controlled the selected card to the top. Perform a double lift, showing an indifferent card. Place the double card back on to the deck as your right hand lifts up the glass.

Then push off the top card of the deck and deal it on the table, and put the glass on top of the card. Dribble the deck on to the top of the glass, holding on to the last card. Turn it over to revealed it was the card just placed under the glass! With a flourish, turn the card under the glass face up to show that it has changed to the one selected.
